Children died young in both townlands, and the sea gave them a shared address at the head of Cuan na Beírtri Buí. A small hummock, split by the mearing wall, still holds faint marks of that loss: boulders in the furze on one side, a curving fosse on the other. The coast kept what the children could not name, and the townlands stopped pretending the line between them mattered.

Some small boulders are visible amongst the furze on the Rosroe side and there are traces of a curving fosse on Canower side where land has been cleared (info. T. Robinson). Not visited.
