An Gabhlán Ard holds a children's burial ground beside older hut-sites, suggesting death came to the place after life already existed there. The distinction matters because a grave can form second, using memory and loss to reshape what the land first kept for living.

Though marked on the OS maps as a graveyard, and referred to in the OSNB (Kinard, 30) as a calluragh, the remains here seem to be those of a cashel (KE044-085001-) with hut-sites.
