This brown commemorative plaque records: Chester City Quarter Sessions. 1506-1971. This plaque was presented by Alderman C.N. Ribbeck, D.Sc., Sheriff 1971-72 to record the last sitting of the Chester City Quarter Sessions on 23 November 1971.
Chester City Quarter Sessions were a local court that administered justice in Chester from 1506 until 1971, playing a significant role in the legal and administrative history of the city.
