Cheshire Lass

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Cheshire Lass as Wreck from the Ôl-ganoloesol period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The *Cheshire Lass* was a 17th-century English merchant vessel lost in a storm off the coast of Wales during the winter of 1630. It sank near the Lleyn Peninsula, resulting in the loss of all six crew members and a cargo of textiles and grain; its wreck is now a protected historic site and an important archaeological resource in Welsh maritime history.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
