This blue commemorative plaque records: 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens The first public reading of this story was made by Charles Dickens in Birmingham Town Hall on Tuesday 27th December 1853 to an audience of nearly 2,000 people. Recorded plaque organisation: Birmingham Civic Society.
