What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: A Chapel of Ease stood here from the 14th century until the Parish Church was built in 1744. The Grammar School was also here until 1887. Recorded plaque organisation: Knutsford Town Council.
A Chapel of Ease, established in the 14th century, served local parishioners who found it difficult to reach the main church, highlighting medieval efforts to make religious services more accessible; it was replaced by a Parish Church in 1744 and also housed the Grammar School until 1887.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
