Ceann Tholastaidh is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located in the Outer Hebrides, likely composed of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in Scotland, dating back over 2,700 million years. These rocks formed through high-grade metamorphism of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks and are notable for their durability and role in the geological foundation of the region.
