Cave

Within the W half of the interior of a cashel (GA123-063----). This well-preserved drystone-built L-shaped Man-made underground passage (L >10.6m) consists of two chambers connected by a short passageway. Access is gained at the SE end of the 1st chamber (L 5.1m; Wth 1.45m; H 1.25m) which runs NW-SE. The passageway (L 1.7m; Wth 0.7m; H 0.72m) extends off the N end of the E side-wall and leads to the 2nd chamber (L 3.8m; Wth 1.3m max.; H 1.54m) which runs NE-SW. Alcoves are evident in the N and E walls of the 1st chamber, in the S wall of the passage, and in the N wall of the 2nd chamber.
