Castlewigg is a derelict C16 Agnews tower house in Dumfries and Galloway, extended by the Dunbars into a C18 mansion. The building is now dangerous and open to public access, leaving its ruined rooms exposed to weather and curiosity. The Agnews built it for defence and identity, while the Dunbars reshaped it for comfort and display, and both layers still stand in decay.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlewigg as Building (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
