Castles, Loch Awe and Dalmally Golf Club

Golf Course (20th Century)

What is recorded here

Dalmally Golf Club sits beside Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute, casting white balls across water so wide it disappears into mist. The course belongs to the twentieth century, yet the loch has swallowed older names and older mistakes. A player may send a drive toward the far shore and watch it vanish, joining every forgotten thing the water keeps.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castles, Loch Awe and Dalmally Golf Club as Golf Course (20th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
