What is recorded here

Castlehill No. 6 Colliery marks a forgotten coal scar in South Lanarkshire, its exact position preserved though its working years remain unrecorded. The ground may still hold broken gear, discarded tools or the compacted shadow of men who fed a hungry region. What is certain is that the site existed, was identified and survived long enough to be measured.
