Castlehill Farm in Aberdeenshire carries a medieval motte and hides Bronze Age short cists beneath its ordinary fields. The cists vanished from local memory by 1964, suggesting that people once lived there, died there and stopped repeating the names. The farm still stands above that forgotten depth, ordinary on top and ancient underneath.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill Farm as Motte (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
