Castlehill

Farmhouse (period Unassigned), Farmstead (period Unassigned)

What is recorded here

Castlehill is a Galloway farmstead where ancient hands first touched the soil. It is not the Inverness neighbourhood or the care home dragging its name through scandal. It is a smaller, older place: a house, a field, a hill, and the people who lived there before maps learned to want attention.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlehill as Farmhouse (period Unassigned), Farmstead (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
