What is recorded here

Castlehill is a residential area in Inverness where Neolithic pits and burning marks still lie beneath modern streets. Tradition claims King Kenneth I granted the land to the Cuthbert family in the 950s, tying human memory to that old ground. Castlehill House stands nearby, its older part dating probably to the late 18th or early 19th century. The place has kept changing, but the hill has continually held life, witness and habitation.
