Castlehill is a natural hillock in Aberdeenshire where cropmarks hint at a medieval enclosure, though no true motte has ever appeared. The name may preserve a forgotten castle or simply mark the highest ground visible from the old farm. Either way, the hill still stands above the flat land, waiting for someone to walk its ridge and decide what it was for.
