Castledykes - Bothwellhaugh - Balmuildy (?)

Roman Road (roman)

What is recorded here

Mud, not marble, recorded the Roman drive through Bothwellhaugh. Men and carts may have shaken the dykes while horses dragged weight toward Castledykes. The road no longer belongs to a march, but the ground still remembers the pressure of wheels and the patience of distance.
