Castlecreavie 4 is a neolithic and Bronze Age cup marked stone in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Small hollows cut through rock that has stood since before written history. The cups may have marked territory, measured ceremony or simply amused the hand that struck them. Whatever they meant, the stone still holds the shape of that forgotten gesture.
