What is recorded here

Castle Craig is a ruined medieval tower on the Black Isle coast, not a polished palace. Its roofed north-east wing still stands while the north-west wing has collapsed, leaving the building exposed to the Cromarty Firth sky. The structure may have housed post-Reformation Bishops of Ross, which would make its remaining rooms a strange mix of church power, coastal danger and domestic life.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlecraig as Tower (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
