What is recorded here

Castlebythe, Motte is a medieval earthwork in Pembrokeshire, Wales, recorded in the national monument list. A tall mound of soil and stone still rises above the coastal plain, marking the spot where human hands shaped the land into a defensible form. The exact builders and residents have vanished, but the mound remains as a visible reminder that the area was once claimed, watched and lived upon.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Castlebythe, Motte as Motte from the Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
