Castle View, Type 27 Pillbox

Anti Tank Blocks (20th Century), Pillbox (20th Century)

What is recorded here

Castle View holds a Type 27 pillbox and anti-tank blocks built during the second world war. Concrete jaws still bite the angus landscape, waiting for steel that never came. The mathematics of defense turned ordinary ground into a killing floor, yet no bullet mark remains visible. Human fear shaped the concrete, giving birth to a vacant sentinel that watches the horizon for ghosts.
