Castle Upton stands in Templepatrick, County Antrim, where the Upton family lived from 1625 until the twentieth century. Robert Adam remodelled the house in the 1780s, creating the distinctive stable block now called Adam Yard. The Upton mausoleum still stands beside the old burial ground, preserving three centuries of one family's rise, decline and disappearance.
