What is recorded here
Castle Cloynefeigh vanished from Longford before anyone drew its walls, leaving Omadin as the only witness in 1574. The castle may still stand beneath bracken or river silt, waiting for a foot to break the grass and remember its shape.
Nolan (1901, 110) records that the castle of 'Cloynefeigh', in the barony of Longford, was in the possession of 'Omadin' in 1574. Not located.
