What is recorded here
Beallanadaragh, a castle in County Galway, was recorded in 1574 under Ric Oge McRichard McMoyler. It has since vanished from modern maps, leaving behind only a name and a shadow. Perhaps its walls still stand buried under grass, waiting for someone to listen for the knock.
Nolan (1901, 111) records that the castle of 'Beallanadaragh', in the barony of Leitrim, was in the possession of 'Ric Oge McRichard McMoyler' in 1574. Not located.
