What is recorded here
Shorte Castlesenolkin stood in barony Leitrim when Ric Oge McRichard McMoyler held it in 1574. The castle has vanished from every modern account, leaving behind a name rather than a wall. It may have been a tower, a hall or a fortress, but human hands shaped it and human memory erased it.
Nolan (1901, 111) records that the castle of 'Shorte Castlesenolkin', in the barony of Leitrim, was in the possession of 'Ric Oge McRichard McMoyler' in 1574. Not located.
