What is recorded here
Liscahane holds an unclassified castle in County Kerry, but no public detail explains whether it was a fortress, a residence or a boundary marker. The name itself resists description, forcing imagination to fill the gap left behind. Perhaps it was a tower for watching the road, a hall for local disputes or a ruined anchor for stories told after dark.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
