Francis Greagh's Castle stood on the east side of High Street in Kilmallock, bounded by the churchyard, but the exact spot has been lost to time. The building may have watched over the town or simply marked the reach of a powerful family. Its disappearance leaves a hollow space in the local story where stone and memory should remain.

The precise location of Francis Greagh's Castle on High St [Main St.] has not been identified. Described in the Urban Survey (Bradley et. al. 1989, 152) as following; 'Francis Creagh’s Castle.
