What is recorded here
The Down Survey (1655-6) map appears to show a castle in the SW of this townland. No visible surface trace of this was found. It is not known locally, and no decorated fragments from such a castle were encountered. Other than its representation on the Down Survey map there is no historical record of a castle in this townland.
