Castle, unclassified in Clonin stands as a lost castle in the little meadow, its strong forty-foot walls torn down almost to the ground around 1850. The stones may still lie buried beneath Michael Burke's land, waiting for a shovel or a storm to reveal the shape of the room that vanished.
Unlocated castle within townland, described by Carrigan as a 'Castle at Michael Burke's in Clonin (Cluainin, the little meadow) its walls, which were very strong and about 40 ft high (c. 12m) were taken down, almost to the ground, about the year 1850.
