What is recorded here
Cadamstown in County Kildare once held a castle that vanished before human memory could keep it. The Down Survey mapped the loss in 1655, but no stone or field mark remains to prove the shape of its rooms. Forgetting is not the same as never existing.
Recorded on the Down Survey (1655-6) map. The exact location of this monument is unknown.
