Castle, unclassified stands in Ballyminoge, County Clare, a castle whose precise purpose and history remain unknown. It may have been a home, a fortress, or a boundary marker, shaped by the same hands and conflicts that built every other castle in the region. Its uncertainty does not weaken it; it refuses a simple label and preserves the chance that it was something less ordinary.
