Ardclone still carries the name Castle although no wall, room or gate has emerged to explain the claim. The land may have swallowed a tower, hidden a boundary stone or preserved only the shape of power in memory. People lived around that absence, measured rooms in imagination and passed the name because naming an empty field is not the same as understanding it.
