Castle stands as a tower house in Kilcurl, County Kilkenny. It is a fortified home, likely built to control local land or protect people during turbulent times. Its walls may have watched fields, rivers or roads, and its rooms may have held families, guards or guests. Little public detail remains, but the shape and setting suggest a place where daily life and defence were joined.
