Castle of Park stands in Aberdeenshire as a layered mansion whose heart is a mid 16th-century Z-plan fortalice, enlarged in 1829 and still carrying a weather-worn Douglas Arms panel. The old stair-tower, vaulted cellars and changed pavilions make the house feel like a life still being rearranged.
