Hangie Bay in Orkney holds a castle marker though no human hand built the rocks. The sea carved the bay into angular towers and hollow chambers, creating a castle that belongs to water and time rather than people. The exact location is known, but the boundary between natural sculpture and imagined architecture remains blurred.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle of Hangie Bay as Stack Site (period Unknown). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
