Castle O'er Forest, Allangillfoot holds a prehistoric hut circle, meaning people built a small dwelling there before written history began. The round stone edge may have marked a home, a shelter or a temporary camp, but the living part has vanished. What remains is a ghost of domestic life, buried under forest growth and time.
