Castle Mains hides beneath East Lothian soil, visible only when drought strips the grass and reveals ghost lines of walls no longer standing. The earth remembers shapes the sky can still read, while human feet forget them. What lives inside those faint borders may have been a kitchen, a prison or a bedroom, but the ground no longer explains itself.
