Castle Madoc, Dovecote is a Post Medieval dove loft in Powys, Wales. It is no grand castle but a small tower built to keep pigeons for food and fertility. The stones may still hold warmth from human hands and bird noise. Such places remind us that even ordinary villages once measured wealth in living things they could feed, keep and share.
