Castle Lodge in Ludlow, Shropshire is a medieval and Tudor house beside Ludlow Castle, its lower stone from the 14th century and timber upper floors added later. It has served as a private home, prison, hotel and film location, while local belief still links it to Catherine of Aragon though the dates do not fit. Rooms lined with imported oak panelling keep the house alive, and repeated attempts to make it a hotel show how much people want it open again.
