What is recorded here

Castle Law is an unclassified fort in the Scottish Borders, recorded only as a point on the national register. It may have been a watchtower, a boundary marker or a forgotten military camp, but the absence of a date leaves its purpose suspended in the dark. The hill still stands above the border country, waiting for someone to explain why it was built and why it was abandoned.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Law as Fort (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
