Castle Law is a Scottish Borders hill recorded as an unassigned cairn, yet the name belongs to a legal idea about a person's right to defend a home. The clash is not an error but a boundary collision: one Castle Law is rock and sky, the other is a chamber of law where a doorway becomes a shield.
