Castle Hill marks a medieval field boundary in Moray, still visible after centuries of changing hands and shifting crops. The hill may have guided farmers, herders or travellers through unfamiliar ground, giving them a point they could trust when the land blurred into mist. Its endurance suggests people kept returning to it, measuring distance or claiming space against a landmark that would not disappear.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Hill as Field Boundary (medieval) - (18th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
