Castle Hill is a post-medieval cruck framed cottage in Highland, Scotland, where timber bones still hold the shape of a room that has watched the valley for centuries. It stands beside a much older castle memory, a hill that has been built, broken and rebuilt since David I and Malcolm Canmore are named in its story. The cottage is small enough to touch, yet it sits inside a long chain of human ambition, war and forgetting.
