What is recorded here

Castle Hill in Falkirk may be medieval cultivation terraces rather than a castle at all. Stones embedded in the hillside would have held dark soil for gardens or crops, turning a steep slope into usable land. People may have stood on those edges to tend what they grew, watching the valley below through seasons of work. The name castle is probably a later invention, born from shape and legend instead of fact.
