Castle Hill earthwork is a circular medieval ringwork in Brenchley that people first mistook for a castle mound because two heavy banks still surround a central ditch. The south east gap marks the entrance, while a later rectangular mound sits beside the rampart like a forgotten chamber. Those lines may have held timber halls, guarded a ridge, or simply marked the pride of a local family before records began.

The National Heritage List for England records Castle Hill earthwork as a scheduled monument. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
