What is recorded here

Castle Greg holds a Bronze Age cairn, cist, Pictish symbol stone, beaker and dagger, proving the land has long served death and memory. The stones may have marked a burial mound where people placed goods for the dead, then chipped symbols into rock centuries later. The hill still keeps those acts alive, waiting for someone to walk past and imagine the hands that shaped it.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castle Greg as Cairn (bronze Age), Cist (bronze Age), Pictish Symbol Stone (pictish), Beaker (period Unassigned), Dagger (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
