What is recorded here
Freestanding single-bay single-stage icehouse, extant 1838, on a circular plan with single-bay full-height lean-to breakfront. Now disused. Roof now missing. Part ivy-covered rendered coursed rubble limestone walls on battered base. Square-headed door opening with concealed red brick soldier course voussoirs on shallow lintel framing remains of timber fitting. Set in unkempt grounds shared with Castle Gore.
An icehouse contributing positively to the group and setting values of the fragmented Castle Gore estate.
