Castle Forbes, Woodston Cottage and Poorhouse in Aberdeenshire is a recorded 19th Century poor house and unassigned cottage. It may have fed, sheltered or excluded people when the castle estate still shaped local life. The exact boundary between charity and control is no longer written on the stones.
