Craigpot Suspension Footbridge spans a narrow cut beside Castle Forbes in Aberdeenshire, its wooden deck and iron chains swaying slightly under each step. The bridge is small enough to cross in seconds yet large enough to make the land feel alive, as if the valley breathes through the gap it bridges. Castle Forbes rises nearby, giving the crossing a purpose older than memory: to move people across water, storm or shadow without losing their way.
