Castle Farm

Farmhouse

What is recorded here

Castle Farm stands in the Vale of Glamorgan as a Post Medieval farmhouse, its stones holding the shape of ordinary life long after castle ambitions faded. It may have fed soldiers, merchants or farmers, though no name survives to claim that work. The absence of a famous owner does not diminish the place; it returns the farm to the people who tended it, waited on it and disappeared without marking the wall.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Castle Farm as Farmhouse from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
