Castle Farm Enclosures are a prehistoric pit-defined circular enclosure near Newport, Wales. The boundary is a ring of small pits rather than a wall, suggesting people marked sacred or owned ground by cutting into the earth. They may have stood there to watch seasons, keep livestock, or perform rituals now forgotten. The pits still exist because soil and time preserved a shape that no longer needs explanation.
